Does spending time in the wilderness canoeing on a lake or river sound appealing to you? How about sitting around a campfire at dusk or spending the night in a tent under the stars?
Take part in an unforgettable experience with Camp YMCA Kanawana’s canoe trip programs. With the help of our experienced trip leaders, you will learn everything there is to know about canoe camping. In addition, you will make new friends, acquire new skills and develop new strengths through teamwork and community living, all in the great outdoors!
For campers looking to try a canoe trip or basic white water paddling while still enjoying the residential camp experience, we also offer 4- to 6-day introductory canoe trips, on flat water or white water, as well as a 1-day introduction to white water paddling trip on the Rouge River. Please consult our Residential Programs section for pricing of the 1-day intro addition.

We are happy to once again start offering changeover sessions for our international campers and campers who want to keep the camp magic going for multiple sessions. Campers will stay on site over the weekend between sessions and a small group of counsellor staff will plan and run activities with them, such as hiking and many other camp staples. Priority given to international campers staying for sessions on either side of the weekends. Limited space available
