Camps for Kids

Yes. As of fall 2025, the YMCAs of Québec will no longer be offering its day camps, including its holiday and spring break camps. The Kanawana summer camp will continue to operate.

All the YMCAs of Québec day camps are impacted, which includes the 13 sites below:

• Westmount YMCA
• du Parc YMCA
• Cartierville YMCA
• Saint-Roch YMCA (Québec City)
• Kanawana Adventure (Saint-Sauveur)*  
• YMCA Concordia Fine Arts Camp
• YMCA Concordia Science and Engineering Camp
• Pierrefonds – Grier Park
• Pierrefonds – d’À-Ma-Baie Park
• Pierrefonds – George-Springate Park
• YMCA International Language School
• Pointe-Saint-Charles YMCA

*The Kanawana summer camp will continue to operate. Only the day camp Kanawana Adventure (Saint-Sauveur) will no longer be offered. 

The decision to stop offering day camps is part of our overall refocusing and simplification process. While these camps had undeniable educational and social value and touched the lives of thousands of kids and families, it became clear, at the end of this process, that the conditions were no longer right to pursue these activities. 

The Kanawana summer camp will continue operating. Only the day camp program, which had been offered for two years at Kanawana (Saint-Sauveur), will no longer be available. 

Registration for the 2026 day camps was not yet open, so no refunds are applicable. 

We understand that this decision may be difficult for certain families and partners. That is why we announced the news in advance to give families and partners enough time to make other plans.
