Canoe trips for kids and teens

Our canoe trips give campers aged 11 to 16 a unique immersion in the wilderness. Over several days, they learn to paddle, set up camp, cook as a team and live to the rhythm of lakes, forests and wide-open spaces.

At Camp YMCA Kanawana, between days on the water, evenings around the campfire and the challenges of life on the trail, each trip becomes a memorable adventure that builds independence, teamwork and self-confidence.

Why choose our canoe trips?

Our trips are designed for young people who want a more immersive adventure in nature and want to push their limits in a safe, stimulating environment.

Guided by an experienced team, campers learn to work together, adapt and take on new challenges while discovering some of the most beautiful landscapes in Québec and Ontario.

A typical day on a canoe trip

Morning: getting ready for the day

The day begins with waking up in nature, making breakfast and pitching in with campsite chores. Campers learn to work as a team before heading back out on the water.

Afternoon: paddle, explore and learn

Afternoons are for paddling, games on the water, beach breaks, swimming and learning survival and outdoor skills.

Evening: slow down and share

In the evening, it's time to set up camp, prepare dinner and share stories around the campfire. These simple moments are often the ones that stay with them the most.
