Integrated Movement Conditioning
In english
Attendees will be introduced to ground-based movements designed to enhance strength, flexibility and coordination. These movements engage the entire body, promoting functional fitness and mobility. The practice can be performed as a standalone workout or integrated into existing training routines, making it versatile for all fitness levels. (attendees will be spending a lot of the course on their hands.)

The Basics of teaching Cardio-cycling

This cardio-cycle trainer workshop is for both newly certified instructors and seasoned professionals who want to broaden their understanding and enhance the quality of their instruction. The workshop covers all the basics by looking at the science behind cardio-cycling, along with workout variables (intensity, duration, recovery) and desired outcomes. Particular attention is paid to pedalling technique and biomechanics to better understand which muscle groups are solicited depending on workout position and pedal stroke phase.
The workshop also goes over how to build a structured and engaging class, including lesson planning, block sequencing, group energy management, and smart playlist selection. The training combines a strong theoretical component with practical classroom application, enabling participants to experiment, analyze and immediately experience the concepts taught.

Flexibility and Mobility Training: From Theory to Practice
In french
The first part of this presentation will address factors influencing flexibility and mobility, namely the roles of muscles, tendons, fasciae, ligaments and the skeleton; stretch tolerance; nerve adaptation; and warm-ups. We will also explore various flexibility and mobility training methods (static, dynamic, PNF), as well as their effects on performance, injury prevention and recovery.
The second part will focus on practical applications of various stretching and active mobility exercises adapted to different contexts, such as health, athletic performance, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Power walking

Outdoor classes are currently a huge trend and power walking can be an excellent cardiovascular activity to incorporate into your programming. Include it as part of your circuit classes, teach it as a class of it’s own or instruct the technique to your runner clients who take walking breaks and don’t want to lose precious time. Power walking can be an effective cardiovascular exercise that's low impact, functional and invigorating! We'll cover race walking and power walking techniques to increase speed, intensity and fun! Learn from a nationally ranked race walker.

This workshop is designed to help personal trainers develop their skills in client assessment and evaluation. Participants will learn safe, effective, and evidence-based assessments to identify client postural needs, movement limitations, and health considerations. The workshop will look at pre-participation screening, goal setting, posture and specific movement testing and how to interpret results. This drives better individualized program design. By the end of the workshop, participants will feel confident in performing assessments, analyzing outcomes, and using evaluation tools to enhance their professional skills.
