19-Day Voyageurs Extreme

All campers are encouraged to participate and contribute according to their strengths and skills, whether it is by collecting firewood, portaging a canoe, or navigating the way. They will swim, paddle, and explore while learning basic survival and leadership skills as well as canoe safety and water hydrology. Campers also benefit from experiential educational activities to help them better understand, appreciate, and preserve the natural environment.

Campers spend time at camp preparing for their canoe trip, as well as debriefing their trip upon their return.

Please note: For safety purposes, Camp YMCA Kanawana reserves the right to change the length and locations of each trip. These will be determined depending on weather, water, and road conditions, as well as the overall schedule of trips each session.
Canoe trips are physically demanding and require a certain level of swimming ability. Kanawana therefore reserves the right to refuse any participant we deem unable to cope with the demands of such a trip.
* If your child is gender non-conforming or transgender, please let us know so that we can ensure that they are comfortable with their cabin arrangement.

All young people should have the opportunity to experience the magic of camp, regardless of their financial situation. 

That is why our financial assistance program can cover part of the cost if you are unable to pay the full amount. 

Some fees are eligible for tax credits for child care expense and children’s physical activities. If you would like to receive the tax credit for child care expenses by advance payments, please consult the detailed procedure on the Revenu Québec website before contacting us. Certain conditions apply.
