6-Day Pioneers

During a six-day stay, campers aged 7 to 12 discover life at Camp YMCA Kanawana in a welcoming and well-supervised setting.

Water activities, outdoor adventures, creative pursuits and time spent with their group give them opportunities to try new activities, build independence and form new connections.

This shorter stay is ideal for experiencing Kanawana for the first time and enjoying camp life to the fullest.

General Registration – October 13 at 9 a.m.

During their stay, campers enjoy a varied program that combines outdoor activities, water sports, arts, nature exploration, and group activities. Each day gives them opportunities to try new things, develop their independence, and build connections in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Available only during the registration period.

Registration for our summer camp programs must be completed online through the secure Amilia platform.

1. Enable or create your Amilia account

Use the same email address as your old Active account, if you had one.

2. Complete your family profile

Add your camper(s) to your account, verify their information and add a payment method.

3. Choose the program and session

Select the appropriate program and session and complete the online registration process.

Useful information

Campers stay in cabins with other campers of the same age and gender identity. Camp counsellors sleep in a separate room in the same cabin.

Group composition considers the campers’ needs and possible affinities to foster a positive and pleasant experience for everyone.

If your camper is transgender or has a fluid gender identity, please let us know so we can provide them with accommodations where they feel comfortable.
