Accessing After-School Activities and Community Partners More Easily
Helping Young People Find the Right Programs.
The Pivot program aims to build positive bonds between youth and their community by fostering positive social integration, providing access to community-based programs and services and expanding the youth’s network of support.
End of Pivot Program in June 2026
We would like to inform you that we made the difficult decision to end our participation in the Pivot program at the end of June 2026, when the school year ends. This decision is part of a process we started to simplify our service offering to ensure the organization’s long-term viability.
We would like to thank you for your support, which enabled the Pivot program to be created and benefitted many young people in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and Pointe-Saint-Charles. Thank you to the teams who worked in the schools and built relationships with hundreds of young people over the years.
We Meet Youth Directly in Their Schools
Pivot works with teens and young adults and engages with them directly in their environment (school, community-based or public spaces) to identify and act on their needs and interests.
Pivot supports participants by helping them integrate community programs and services into their life and at their pace. Participants can thus register directly for programs in their area without getting lost in all the choices available to them.
By building the bridge between the youth’s ambitions and needs and the appropriate YMCA resources, Pivot helps improve participants’ life outcomes, ensuring that they are in structured environments that foster continued development.
