Diversion and Succession: Personal Development Program

Diversion and Succession: Personal Development Program

We have made the difficult decision to shut down the Diversion and Succession programs in March 2026, when our current funding agreement comes to an end. This decision is part of a simplification process of our service offering to ensure the organization's long-term viability.

These programs have had a positive impact on a vulnerable clientele. However, these initiatives require specific expertise, which we are limited in, and as such the YMCA is not the best organization to ensure their development.

We sincerely thank you for your collaboration over the past few years. Thank you to the program teams, who opened up new horizons for countless young people.

Diversion Personal Development Program

Helping youth aged 12 to 17 develop their social skills

Is your child between 12 and 17 years of age? Do they sometimes have a hard time in social situations? Do they have high-functioning special needs or a lack of social skills? Do you want your child to get active, learn new things, and make friends? Diversion is a safe space where participants can have fun, meet new people, and talk about anything they want.

The group meets once a week for a workshop, group discussion, or an activity. Your child will be involved in planning the activity calendar, monthly workshops, and volunteering activities.

Succession: Personal Development Program
