YMCA Challenge : A day driven by solidarity

On May 2, more than 1,000 people gathered at Parc Maisonneuve to take part in the 2026 YMCA Challenge.

Donors, partners, employees, participants, volunteers, families and community members all came together to move, give and, above all, share a truly meaningful moment.

Throughout the day, a contagious energy filled the site. Between race starts, cheers, conversations and celebrations, the YMCA Challenge once again demonstrated the strength of a community united around a shared cause.

Together, we covered more than 6,000 km. But more importantly, we helped move something much greater forward.

A Concrete Impact for Youth and Families

Thanks to the $158,000 raised, even more youth, families and individuals in vulnerable situations will be able to access YMCA Québec programs and services through the Financial Assistance Program.

In concrete terms, this means far more than access to an activity or program. It represents the opportunity to feel welcomed, build confidence, create meaningful connections and grow in an inclusive, safe and caring environment.

For many people, this support can truly change the course of a life.

The success of the YMCA Challenge is built on the commitment of people who choose, year after year, to come together and make a real difference in their communities.
