Homelessness in Montreal: YMCA outreach team supports vulnerable people at YUL Montréal-Trudeau Airport

This report shows the reality of homelessness in Montreal, particularly at Montréal-Trudeau Airport, where some individuals seek refuge to feel safe. YMCA outreach workers are present daily to connect with vulnerable individuals and guide them toward appropriate resources. In 2025, more than half of the 44 people who regularly stayed at the airport were able to leave, notably by gaining access to housing. This outreach work helps direct individuals to the resources they need and supports social reintegration.
