Add a Donation to Your Transaction and Make a Real Difference
At the YMCA, we believe that everyone should have access to a healthy, active lifestyle, but for some individuals and families, these choices come with a cost that is beyond their means.
That’s why the YMCAs of Quebec are introducing the option to add a donation to every transaction. This initiative will allow you, when completing any transaction related to physical activity at the Y (children’s classes, memberships, etc.), to add an amount to your transaction that will go directly to the YMCA of Québec’s financial assistance program.
Your donation will help make physical and aquatic activities accessible to as many people and families as possible who might not otherwise have access to them. Thanks to you, children will learn to swim safely. Seniors will rediscover the joy of exercising in a group! And families will be able to develop healthy, sustainable lifestyle habits to spend even more quality time together!

Absolutely. For any donation of $20 or more, a tax receipt will be emailed to you within 30 days of your donation. It will be sent directly from the YMCA of Quebec Foundation. If you have any questions about your receipt, please email us at fondation@ymcaquebec.org.
Every year, thousands of people benefit from our financial assistance program, thanks in large part to the generosity of many donors. This program allows people in financially vulnerable situations to access services and activities that would normally be out of their reach.
This can include children who want to discover a sport or even learn to swim safely, or older adults who wish to get active again and maintain a balanced, active lifestyle.
Your donation will go directly to the YMCA of Québec’s financial assistance program, which will then ensure that requests from as many people as possible in financially vulnerable situations are met, regardless of their geographic location.
The amount will be charged at the time of the initial transaction, and please note that this amount is non-refundable.
Yes, you can certainly make a donation to help others get active using the YMCAs of Quebec Foundation’s donation form. You can also make a donation during your next transaction (membership, renewal, register to à la carte classes, etc.) directly through your member account.
