STEAMpunks (Ages 13–15)

STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities nurture creative, technical, and interpersonal abilities all at once, and that is the central principle of STEAMpunks, an initiative from Concordia University for campers aged 13 to 17.

Thirty campers will participate in a range of hands-on workshops, laboratory visits, physical activities, and outings—designed and guided by university and college educators to inspire learning in a fun and engaging way.

By providing a small peek at higher education and imbuing participants (aka STEAMpunks) with confidence, knowledge, skills, and a new network of friends and mentors, the goal is to encourage success in high school and beyond.

We are especially interested in empowering and motivating campers who may face social, economic, or systemic barriers that hinder their potential or access to initiatives like ours.
