TeenZones

A Place for All Teens

What are TeenZones?

TeenZones are safe places where young people can come and hang out after school and participate in all kinds of activities, or simply relax.

We have zones dedicated to different age groups, all supervised by caring and experienced youth workers.

Typically, TeenZones are reserved for teens aged 12 to 17, but we also have two Zones for 16-to-24-year-olds, one in downtown Montréal and one on the South Shore, as well as a 16–30 Zone in Saint-Léonard.

Activities offered

  • Billards
  • Table tennis
  • Foosball
  • Board games
  • Video games
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Hip-hop Dance
  • Art workshops
  • Projects for young leaders
  • Homework help
  • Multimedia production
  • And so much more

“Honestly, before coming to the Y, I was the worst kid in the world. Without the YMCA, I don’t know where I’d be today. I am definitely a better person now.”

OJ, former participant who is now volunteer

“It’s important for us to know that our kids have a safe place to go, somewhere they can learn and get help with how to deal with their problems. It’s especially good to know that our eldest is not out on the street or being bullied.”

Charlotte, mother of Kyle, a 14-year-old TeenZone participant
