YMCAs of Québec - August 31 2022

Montreal, August 31, 2022

With 20 years of experience in her field, Stacey Masson is joining the YMCA’s leadership team as Vice-President of marketing and communications. In this key role for the association, she will create tailored communication strategies to strengthen the brand’s image, increase awareness of its social impact and its complete service offering among various stakeholders. She will also oversee its digital transformation.

“The Y is at a pivotal moment in its history. We’re reinventing ourselves to ensure the sustainability of our essential mission, which is to encourage all people to reach their full potential, thrive and contribute to their community,” explained Stéphane Vaillancourt, President and CEO of the YMCAs of Québec. “Stacey not only shares our values, she also has a very human-centred leadership style and recognized strategic expertise that will contribute to the lasting change we are implementing.”

Stacey is  actively engaged in the community, as well as an ardent advocate for sustainable development, the arts and creating change that will help make the world a more equitable and inclusive place.

“The full scope of the YMCA network and the reach of its programming is currently one of our best kept secrets, especially here in Québec,” said Stacey Masson. “The Ys are working to strengthen our communities as we recover from the pandemic. At a time when many of us are searching for purpose, I can’t think of a more meaningful mandate than helping the Y deliver against its strategic plan.”

Over the course of her career, she created and implemented powerful strategies for renowned businesses, such as Cossette, TELUS, Hydro-Québec and Germain Hôtels. Earlier this summer, she made the 50 Under 50 list of her alma mater, Concordia University, which celebrates the builders creating the world of tomorrow.
