Help asylum seekers: donate unused winter clothes!

YMCAs of Québec - October 05 2018

The YMCA Residence has been welcoming refugees and asylum seekers to Montreal since 1931.

The YMCA emergency winter clothes room will open shortly in order to help asylum seekers.

Open between October and April, this initiative aims at providing newcomers with appropriate clothing to face our winters.

We invite all employees, volunteers, partners and friends to give their unused winter clothes. A gift box is available at 4039 Tupper Street, Westmount, H3Z 1T5.

What we need:

  • Winter coats of all sizes (men, women, children)
  • Winter boots of all sizes (men, women, children)
  • Scarves, gloves, hats of all sizes (men, women, children)

What we do not need:

  • We cannot accept any other item of clothing or furniture, since our storage and pest control resources are extremely limited.

Thank you in advance.
