Star Program - Star 4
Moving into the Star Swim program levels, children will learn elementary backstroke, breaststroke, side stroke and increase their swimming endurance at each level. In addition to the swim strokes, children will be given opportunities to explore elements of competitive swimming, synchronized swimming, water polo, and aquafitness.
It is the intent of the Star 4 level to continue the development of the back crawl, crawl and breaststroke on longer distances. Lifesaving is also continued with lifesaving water proficiency skills.
Children from 6 to 15 years-old will learn an intermediate standard of breaststroke, and an initial standard of side-stroke. The core skills they will develop are front, back, and side floats, as well as Rookie H20 proficiency. They will exercise their endurance with combination swim on 350m.
