Day camp in Québec (Saint-Roch)

A day camp in the heart of the neighbourhood for the kids of the neighbourhood. On hot days, campers will enjoy the Y’s air-conditioned modern premises and scheduled free swim periods. And the outdoor activities in neighbouring parks are the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories and make loads of new friends.

Offered during the summer, the day camp is open to children aged 5 (age on September 30 of the current year) to 12 (maximum age during their participation in camp). The camp offers a wide variety of recreational activities, allowing children to socialize and thrive through active participation in group life, all in a safe environment.

Why Register Your Child for the Saint-Roch YMCA Day Camp?

A unique approach

Aware of the transformative experience of camp, we have developed an approach focused on three key areas: building confidence and autonomy, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits, and cultivating a strong sense of community.

Special activities every week

We offer campers the opportunity to explore new passions and feed their curiosity. Every week, a fun and stimulating activity is organized on site to enrich campers’ experience.

Inclusive physical activities

Created in collaboration with a kinesiologist, the camp’s physical activities help participants develop their motor skills and build self-confidence and team spirit. Regardless of their fitness level, participants will discover the joys of moving and explore different movements in an inclusive and caring.

Financial literacy

Throughout the week, campers will participate in workshops that teach them the skills to make sound financial decisions. Through a range of activities, youth will explore concepts such as saving, budgeting, and financial planning, giving them the tools to start managing their money in a responsible and sustainable way.

Financial assistance

All kids should have a chance to experience the magic of camp, no matter their family’s financial situation. Our financial assistance program can help cover a part of camp fees and ensure every child can enjoy this unique experience.
