It is with a lot of pleasure that following the recent announcement made by the government, we are preparing to welcome you back to your Y. Our team is working very hard to prepare everything for your return.

Not only do we want to follow mandatory public health guidelines, we would also like to be prudent for the sake of your safety and ours.

Our current plan is based on progressively reopening centres at the beginning of August, starting with the Cartierville, Du Parc and Westmount YMCAs.

Why wait until August to reopen?   Why is my centre not reopening right away?  If I decide not to come back right away... How do I know what is allowed and what is not? Will I have to sign an acknowledgment / acceptance of risk? Will members and staff be screened at the entrance? I am at a higher risk of developing serious complications from COVID-19... How do we know which classes and activities will be offered again?   I would like to help the Y get through this crisis. What can I do?   Will classes and activities for children and teens start up again too? Will the pool be open?  Will there be swimming lessons this summer? Are you planning on offering online training for FIT or CPR certifications? My favourite activity will not be on the schedule. Can I wait to come back?   If I do not complete the online form, will my membership be cancelled automatically? Will I need to wear a mask? Will you clean more frequently? Will your opening hours remain the same? Will drinking fountains still be accessible? Will I need to reserve a time slot before coming to the centre to work out? Will you be offering specific time slots for people at higher risk? Will I be able to play squash?  Will I be able to use my guest passes? Do I need to bring my own equipment (yoga mat, etc.)?  Will there be a towel service? Will whirlpools, saunas and steam rooms be open? Will there by cycling classes?  Will there by private training? Will we have access to showers and locker rooms? Will I be able to access to my personal locker? Will all strength training and cardio equipment be available? How long will the time slots be?   Are team sports permitted? Do you offer virtual workouts and activities?
