Star Program - Star 2
Moving into the Star Swim program levels, children will learn elementary backstroke, breaststroke, side stroke and increase their swimming endurance at each level. In addition to the swim strokes, children will be given opportunities to explore elements of competitive swimming, synchronized swimming, water polo, and aquafitness.
It is the intent of the Star 2 level to continue the development of the back crawl, elementary backstroke, and to introduce the breaststroke. Lifesaving is also continued with lifesaving water proficiency skills.
Children from 6 to 15 years-old will learn an intermediate standard front and back crawl, and an initial standard breaststroke. The core skill they will develop is eggbeater for 1 minute. They will exercise their endurance with combination swim on 100m.
