Learn to Swim – Dolphin
The Learn to Swim program, divided into four levels, teaches basic swimming and aquatic safety skills. Swimmers work on building an excellent foundation, working on the progressions for each stroke. Swimmers also increase their swimming distance with each level as they learn to make the right decisions when in or near the water.
It is the intent of the Dolphin level to orient the swimmer to stroke development and endurance in deep water, and to further develop comfort, breath control and confidence in deep water.
Children from 6 to 15 years-old will learn front and back crawl sequences. They will be capable to swim underwater for 1.5m, of head-first sculling on back for 3m, of foot-first surface dive, of deep water bobs, and tread water for 30 seconds. They will practice their endurance with 12m front swim and 18m back swim.
