Are you tired, stressed, or in need of some deep relaxation? Restorative Yoga at the West Island YMCA might be just the thing you`ve been looking for.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle and soothing form of yoga with a focus on “letting go” both physically and mentally. Props like bolsters and blocks are used to support the body and postures are held for longer periods of time to allow muscles to relax completely.

Restorative Yoga can help to reduce stress, balance the nervous system, and increase flexibility. Participants leave feeling relaxed and mindful.

Interested in trying Restorative Yoga? The West Island YMCA is offering a free trial on Thursday, April 12th from 9-10 a.m. and on Friday, April 13th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Classes begin April 19th , stop by the front desk to register.
