12-Day Adventurers Pathfinders (Ages 13-16)

Girls and non-binary campers aged 13 to 16 have the incredible opportunity to experience a four- to six-day introductory canoe trip in La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve (flat water) or on one of Quebec or Ontario’s beautiful rivers (white water) led by our experienced and well-trained canoe guides.

Campers spend most days in our Regular Residential Camp program while also preparing and training for their four- to six-day canoe camping trip.

All our canoe trips are centred on teamwork and community living while helping participants develop their leadership and outdoor survival skills.

Please note: For safety purposes, Camp YMCA Kanawana reserves the right to change the length and locations of each trip. These will be determined depending on weather, water, and road conditions, as well as the overall schedule of trips each session.
Canoe trips are physically demanding and require a certain level of swimming ability. Kanawana therefore reserves the right to refuse any participant we deem unable to cope with the demands of such a trip.
* If your child is gender non-conforming or transgender, please let us know so that we can ensure that they are comfortable with their cabin arrangement.

Good news! First thing, registration will be moved up this year.

• Starting at 9:00 a.m. on September 24 – Priority registration for campers who participated in the camp during summer 2024.
• Starting at 9:00 a.m. on October 8 – Public registration (open to all).
• Process – Email sent with a link to the online priority or public registration page. 

If your children have not yet experienced the magic of Kanawana, but you want them to enjoy that experience in summer 2025, you can register them directly without an email link through our Active portal, starting at 9:00 a.m. on October 8, 2024.
