School Support Program – Pathways to Education

Everything you need to succeed !

Each year, thousands of Canadian youth will drop out of high school. This situation hurts our communities, destabilizes our health and justice systems and stifles our economic growth.

Founded in Ontario in 2001 and now operating in many communities across Canada, Pathways to Education is a school support program that helps students finish high school and become actively involved in building their future career.

The program offers:

  • academic support: mandatory after-school homework help;
  • social support: structured group activities, exploring school programs and careers;
  • one-to-one mentoring and support: regular meetings with a program facilitator;
  • financial support: financial assistance for immediate school expenses and post-secondary scholarships.

Pathways to Education addresses systemic barriers to education by providing leadership, expertise and a community-based program proven to lower dropout rates.

To fulfill its mission in Québec, Pathways to Education relies on the financial support of Rio Tinto Alcan.
