Want to learn how to run? We’re here to help! The Pointe-Saint-Charles YMCA is offering a running workshop for beginners this summer. Our expert instructors will keep you motivated, help you improve your performance and endurance, and show you how to avoid injuries. Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm.

Soak up the sun at one of the many outdoor classes offered by the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve YMCA this summer, including free classes like Yoga, Qi Gong, Pilates and Family Bootcamp. There are also some outdoor à la carte classes this summer, like a new HIIT class and the ever-popular Parent & Baby Interval Training. Ask the front desk for more information!

More than a hundred employees, volunteers and members of the West Island YMCA came together on June 8 to celebrate our volunteers and employees, who, day after day, work towards making the Y a community where everyone can get active, grow and thrive. Thank you!

While we have been a part of the West Island community since 1957, we celebrated our centre’s 30th anniversary on Brunswick Street on June 12. Check out photos of the celebration on our Facebook page!

The West Island YMCA pool will be closed from August 20 to September 16 for annual maintenance, while the Cartierville YMCA pool will be closed from August 27 to Septerber 15. During this time, we invite our members to use pools at other YMCA centres.

The Du Parc YMCA has a brand new physiotherapy service: PhysioFitness. Whether you are recovering from an injury or looking for a prevention program, you can contact the customer service team for more information or to schedule an appointment.

The Du Parc YMCA’s annual blood drive, organized by Héma-Québec, will take place in the gym on August 29. Our team will be there to welcome all participants. Give blood. Give life.

We are excited to announce that the NDG YMCA pool will be officially opening on Monday, June 25. We are in the process of finishing the final details to have the pool ready for use.

Some of the improvements to the pool include:

  • A superior double filtration system that meets 2018 standards;
  • New stairs for the shallow end;
  • New teaching platforms for children’s lessons;
  • A new coat of paint on the pool floor after the tiles were removed.
